Credit Card Companies Denying My Substack Subscribers. Spread the Word.
Visa is denying my Substack subscribers from subscribing because Substack is a "political organization." AMEX is declining as a "do not honor." The truth must be hurting these companies.....
Well, banks were blocking funds to Canadian truckers; now it looks like if they don’t like a Substack writer, they are claiming Substack a “political organization” (huh?) and denying subscriptions under the code “do_not_honor.”
Since when did Substack go from being an online newsletter to a “political organization?” Do these credit card companies consider the Washington Post and New York Times political organizations?
Are any other Substack writers having similar issues? As a subscriber, have your subscription to my or other writers been denied?
These are some damn dark days.

Once Central Bank Digital Currencies are established, this kind of shenanigans will be "baked in."
My visa charge went through June 29th. I checked your "merchant description" and it says "Political Organaizations." I have many monthly Substack paid subscriptions and all the others are Merchant description; digital goods-media, books, movies, music? Thought you may want to know this bit if info.
