Californians are being gaslit by their very own media. Freedom of the press does not mean media outlets have the right to make false claims, incite political terrorism, and libel concerned citizens. Citizens who want medical freedom and believe in the rule of law are being targeted and mischaracterized by media outlets throughout California. Those who assemble out of deep concern for their children’s future are as diverse as the state of California itself.
However, throughout a myriad of inciting articles, parents and community members are being broadly painted as right-wing extremists, racists, anti-semites, using our “leadership to uphold the white male culture,” and most notably, somehow equating concerned parents and citizens with the January 6th Insurrection, all the way in Washington DC! How these parallels are being made is more than puzzling until one looks a little more closely.
Back in November of 2021, Sacramento Bee reporter, Amber Muller, wrote a slanderous piece titled “How Appeals To Nostalgia And Tradition Help Draw Women Into Hate Groups.” Another Sacramento Bee reporter, Jason Pohl, penned a similarly slanted article, ”How Angry Extremists Are Drowning Out Local CA Government.” Other authors of this type of shallow journalism include Lydia Gerike, Maria Figueroa, Robert Salladay, Ryan Sabalow, and Hannah Wiley. This attack on concerned citizens has included me… causing me to look a little deeper as to why we were being attacked this way.
Through investigation of my own and with the help of other “mama bear warriors,” we have found that all of these paid propagandists have something in common. They are grantees of the prestigious “Pulitzer Center,” funded by many undisclosed donors, as well as highly controversial “financial influencers” who have vested interests in and ulterior motives for California. Such as the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Carnegie Foundation of New York, George Soros’ Open Society, and the controversial Facebook 1619 Project Education Programming, to name a few.
In addition, one of the Pulitzer Center’s biggest partners, PIMCO, managing more than 2.2 trillion in assets, is an American investment management firm that settled charges of misleading investors about ETF performance in 2016. In 2017 this controversial firm contributed a whopping $950,000 to the Pulitzer Center for its commitment to cover stories of “Gender equality and opportunities for economic empowerment are crucial to the more just society we all seek. For many women and girls around the globe, those rights are denied. Telling their stories is an essential step toward real change." However, PIMCO found itself in the limelight in 2020 when its CEO, Douglas Hodge, was sentenced to nine months in prison for his part in a scheme in which privileged parents paid bribes to get their daughters and sons into U.S. colleges.
We are simply exercising our lawful rights to express our discontent with the overbearing reach of those elected to represent us. We want to protect our communities from a tyrannical government. We want medical freedom: Where there is a risk, there must be a choice, and we rightfully expect our leaders to uphold the oath they took to the US and California Constitutions.
Citizens are demanding California media restore the five rules of journalism. Truth and Accuracy. Independence. Fairness and Impartiality. Humanity. Accountability.
We see Big Money with heavily vested interests and questionable track records seriously influencing our California media outlets. It has become apparent that these Pulitzer Center grantees have been funded to produce biased hit pieces and dangerous propaganda to create a false narrative called “California Extremism.”
We don’t believe maternal instinct is extreme. It’s biased coverage.
