Today, thousands of Californians are voting to elect their new governor. However, they are completely unaware that one of the two gubernatorial candidates, California’s current governor and official Democratic candidate, Gavin Newsom, never legally qualify to be in last June’s Primary election.
So he certainly doesn’t qualify to be in the General election today.
Why? Per Newsom’s signage of SB 27 in 2019, all presidential and gubernatorial candidates must submit the last five years of filed tax returns to the CA Secretary of State.
From Newsom’s desk in 2019:
“Today, I am signing SB 27, the Presidential Tax Transparency and Accountability Act. I agree with the Legislature that “the State of California has a strong interest in ensuring that its voters make informed, educated choices in the voting booth.” As one of the largest economies in the world and home to one in nine Americans eligible to vote, California has a special responsibility to require this information of presidential and gubernatorial candidates.
These are extraordinary times, and states have a legal and moral duty to do everything in their power to ensure leaders seeking the highest offices meet minimal standards and to restore public confidence. The disclosure required by this bill will shed light on conflicts of interest, self-dealing, or influence from domestic and foreign business interest.”
This is all fine and good. Except Newsom failed to do what he signed into law conveniently before his official governor recall in 2019: requiring all gubernatorial candidates to file the last five years of tax returns.
Obviously, Newsom didn’t want to “shed any light” on 2021 because he skipped submitting that year’s tax returns, which should have immediately disqualified him as a candidate for CA governor.
That is what California’s Secretary of State, Shirley Weber, should have done and when the media should have covered this hot little story.
That is wishful thinking these days.
If that’s not bad enough, we have California’s Sec of State Weber covering for Newsom’s criminal escapade. When you visit California’s SOS website to look up gubernatorial candidates’ tax returns, that page no longer exists… Unless you jump into the Wayback Machine, then you can clearly see why Sec of State Weber removed the evidence.
While it may look like Newsom will get away with more election deception, remember, today’s General election is not certified, and Newsom’s gubernatorial competitor, Senator Brian Dahle, could challenge Newsom’s election ‘win” in court.
This is also a real litmus test for Senator Dahle. If Dahle has any backbone and moral compass, he will fight the election results in court and do everything he can to kick Newsom off his righteous throne.
It took California three weeks to receive all the Primary votes from all the counties last June. Three weeks. A lot of monkey business can happen in that amount of time. Including Californians getting fed up and mounting a court battle against Newsom’s illegitimate race for Governor.
And if Dahle doesn’t have the gumption to do this, Californians may want to become the real leaders, pass the hat, hire a bulldog attorney, challenge the election, and bring an end to Newsom’s monarchy and the “Newsom’s Rules For Thee Not For Me.”
