Thank you!! This was a most amazing video with you, Kristen and Matthew - so much information from you all. Also your initial clip of the questions you asked Simone and her bizarre waltzing across the stage with her hands reaching out. I could not believe the audience clapping at her responses. This woman has done so much damage I wonder if any punishment will be enough.
I was very interested but the quality of the audio in the hall was so echoey that I really could neither decipher your questions to Dr Gold nor her answers I am sorry to say...
I agree I had problems hearing some of it too. But the fact that she calls Reinette a liar in public is outrageous in my opinion. Dr Gold also knows very well whom Alix Meyer (sp) from Children's Health Defense is and the church does too. She has been a speaker there several times as I have heard her speak there and very respected in the freedom movement. I contacted the church originally when they posted about hosting Dr Gold and boyfriend and asked why and why weren't they looking deeper etc. They didn't like that as they have had enough problems since covid and wanted her to voice her side. I mentioned Reinette and shared some of her information. Now I might contact them again to ask for a meeting between the 2. in public.

What's irking me is that people are comparing this to James O'Keefe as if Simone is a victim of some sort of political smear...and my counter is that O'Keefe never pretended to still be running Project Veritas after his ouster. Never mind the $25,000+ "health concierge" fees Gold was attempting to charge people WAYYYY before covid.
She also labeled you a "reporter," not mentioning that you were independent and on Substack...and in that crowd a reporter might as well be a full-blown commie so she was pretty insidious in how she was responding to you. Really disgusting! She is truly a sociopath, I think, a genuine sociopath.

But I was willing to watch and wait, since at least she seemed like she was kind of against the kill shots. Anyway, I'm not surprised by any of this. And I'm definitely disgusted--it takes a special kind of psychopathology to take advantage of people and steal from them at a time like this.

It seems that Kevin Jenkins of the "Oversight" committee is looking the other way when the AFLDS board behaved badly. The judge in the AZ court decision wrote:
"The parties to this dispute all owe fiduciary duties to the company. They all seem to have
forgotten that. Instead, the parties have chosen to spend time and resources fighting with each other
in Court."
The March 15, 2023 report by Jenkins and his colleagues makes no mention of excess benefit transactions. As 501c3 enjoy tax privileges, they are restricted in what they can do with the money. The tax benefits should NOT subsidize the overpayment or enrichment of insiders through excess benefit transactions. The lawyers hired by the AFLDS board has alerted the board to serious issues on the excess benefit transactions front- AFLDS had purchased a $3.6M residential home for Simone Gold to live in. The court filings will be extremely problematic for both sides as it suggests that both sides were ok with overpaying Simone Gold until they started fighting.
Some of the AFLDS board members also started overpaying themselves after their lawyers educated them about excess benefit transactions.
It's crazy that these people are fighting each other in the open because they are creating a lot of IRS problems for themselves.
Actually, Kevin is calling them out by asking them to resign and be replaced with an experienced board that includes doctors. While he is not trying to public throw them under the bus, he understands that, yes, there certainly was "self-dealing" by board members, as the AZ judge claimed. And if they are to pursue a lawsuit with Gold, the board must have very clean hands.
The vibe that I get is that the report is similar to what the board/Gilbert side submitted in the AZ lawsuit. They blame everything on the Simone Gold faction and ignore the obvious IRS compliance issues that they've created for themselves.
In the AZ lawsuit, it seems that the board/Gilbert side argued that SImone Gold was able to make purchases "without" the board's permission (though Gilbert's law firm was involved in the purchase of the $3.6M home). There is an obvious problem with internal controls if Gilbert/Simone made purchases without anything being recorded in the board's minutes. There is also the issue of the minutes being inaccurate.
I feel like Jenkins has telegraphed where his allegiances lie. But we'll see what happens and I would hope that AFLDS gets cleaned up. Thanks for covering this story.

It seems like there was/is a lot of $$ flowing through AFLDS. On the other hand I know private ophthalmologist & Gyn/Onc's making $1M/yr gross. An employed Kaiser ER doc might make about $300-$600K a year. Keep in mind that's equivalent to the private practice Oph or Gyn/Onc that needs to pay salaries and overhead. $50K/mn doesn't seem exorbitant to me, but paying your boyfriend $20K/mn and all the other perks and swag doesn't seem right for a "non-profit". There is so much more to this story I'm sure. I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt a little longer, but I'd be the first to drag her ass in front of the judge and make her tell us nothing but the truth.
