Yup. I had was involved in ICLEI early on as a Nevada City City Council member. They were gathering data on our town. Somebody whom I now know not to trust brought them forward to us. I was involved for about 6 months and then was turned off. This was before I realized how the sustainability movement was something other than what I thought. So, when I speak about sustainability and resiliency, I always have to clarify I'm speaking of the mom-and-pop version and not the UN version.
Most of us were fooled about soooo many things. At least we know now and can help inform and educate others.

Thank you so much for your ongoing work to help people you don't even know. There are certainly patterns to these wildfire disasters. While the BC fires pale by comparison of death and destruction to the Maui fires, the behaviour of those in authority like police, fire chiefs etc is the same. They are rude and controlling and fail utterly to do their jobs, often risking residents lives and property. Probably top of our emergency list should be the awareness that we must rely on ourselves and our loved ones for survial thru these times. Each person has a part to play, recognition of this will be basic to that survival. Thanks again for the warning and encouragement. We need both! Also, BC British Columbia has a particularly severe jab mandates for ALL employees of the gov, including emergency responders, firemen and police.
