Do As I Say, Not As I Fly?
The World Economic Forum in Davos. Where irony meets carbon in a staggering graph.
Graph Display: Flight emissions are based on journeys from London to Dubai for COP 28, the United Nations Climate Change Conference that took place from 30 November to 12 December 2023.
Car, train, and coach emissions are based on journeys from London to Istanbul and then a flight. Private jet emissions are based on a Cessna 680 Citation Sovereign (most common in COP27 data), commercial flight emissions are based on an Airbus A380-300, and car journeys are calculated for a Vauxhall Corsa. If there is any image we should make viral during the World Economic Forum in Davos this week, it is the graph above — A snapshot of the flight emissions of thousands of delegates who gather at events like Davos, regularly to discuss how to curtail global citizens’ happiness further…. including the love of flying. I’m working on a video on how well it’s going at Davos and the current state of Europe right now.
A few weeks ago, Jim Lee of ClimateViewer.com shared with me the graph above. I have not been able to get it out of my mind since. I can’t help but notice a striking display of irony: the recent UN climate summit in Dubai and the ongoing World Economic Forum in Davos and the extensive use of private jets by key attendees, including UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, former PM David Cameron, and King Charles.
So much for “Walking the talk.” Or should I say, “Flying the talk?”
The 70,000 delegates at the COP28 in Dubai is like an exclusive air show for “faux climate-conscious.” It's like a satirical sketch, but it's real life.
And get this: taking a private jet from London to Dubai is 11 times more polluting than flying commercial. It's not just an environmental faux pas; it’s a masterclass in mixed messages.
How does anyone keep a straight face at these events?
Like many folks these days, I pay little attention to the talking and most of my attention to the action or lack thereof.
These summits are like catwalks for the carbon-heavy, where discussions about reducing emissions somehow miss the irony of their own travel methods.
Perhaps they don’t care because it doesn’t matter?
Similarly, the World Economic Forum in Davos has seen a healthy influx of jets, adding to the irony.
It’s the classic tale of 'do as I say, not as I fly.'’

They could not care less why should they? We have allowed them to get away with every crime known to humanity for so long they believe they can continue to do so and kill us all as well . UNTIL we stop this it will not stop.
And don't forget, it was reported that all these scumbag, hypocritical elites (edit: "ELITISTS") were ALSO requesting ONLY UNV@@ X'D PILOTS to fly them around!! https://thepeoplesvoice.tv/wef-hires-unvaccinated-pilots-to-fly-them-into-davos-safety-of-our-members-is-no-1-priority/
Thank God enough pilots kept their heads on straight and knew better enough than to get injected. 🙏👍
